Every Spring, OCSA produces an Actors Industry Showcase, which features 12 to 18 of our talented students ranging from grades 7 through 12 from any conservatory. This virtual showcase is professionally shot and edited to be shared with an audience of Los Angeles and New York talent agents, casting directors, and managers. 

Scores of high-­level industry professionals participate annually, including representatives from CBS, NBC, Sony Pictures, CW Television, Warner Bros, Disney, Abrams Artists Agency, CESD, Osbrink, and several other boutique agencies. The intent is to connect the students with industry professionals who can help facilitate the next step in their careers.

The cast will be selected exclusively by casting director and OCSA alumnus, Rick Messina (MT, ‘95), and the show will be directed by actor and guest artist, Michael Baker. Auditions will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025 with invited callbacks held Saturday, October 4, 2025. The final cast list will be announced by Friday, October 24, and the first meeting for chemistry reads will take place on Saturday, November 1.  Rehearsals will take place on various Saturdays starting in January (full schedule linked below). The showcase shoot is scheduled for Friday, March 20 through Sunday, March 22.

Students auditioning for Actors Showcase should prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue to perform.

If you are unable to attend our in-person auditions but would still like to be considered, you may share a YouTube link to a self tape of your monologue via the audition form link. In addition to your monologue, please include the following slate on your video:

• Full Name

• Age & Grade

• Conservatory

This opportunity is open to ALL OCSA STUDENTS – all conservatories, all grade levels. If you believe that your child is ready and willing to take the next step professionally, please encourage them to complete the Google form to submit their audition material by clicking the button below. Additional audition materials include:

• Acting Resume

• Headshot or School Picture

Please also bring two hard copies of your resume and headshot to your audition. Once you have completed your audition form, you will be contacted with a time slot for your audition.

Notifications for callbacks will be sent out by Monday, September 22. In-person callbacks will take place on Saturday, October 4 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m (actors will not be called for the whole day). The cast will be selected exclusively by Rick Messina. On Friday, October 24, the Actors Showcase 2025 cast will be announced. 

Chemistry reads and a first scene meeting will be held before Winter Break with formal rehearsals taking place on Saturdays beginning in January.

The showcase performance itself will be filmed by a professional crew in March, then packaged, and shared with industry representatives in May.
