About Gala

Each year, the OCSA Foundation hosts a themed, black-tie Gala, featuring spectacular student performances. Gala is OCSA’s largest, most prestigious fundraiser of the year, raising more than $2 million for the school annually.

Gala 2027 will take place on Saturday, April 17 at the brand-new OCVIBE Concert Hall in Anaheim. We are currently looking for talented vocalists, dancers, and greeters to help make the school's largest fundraising event of the year possible!

Vocal Auditions

Open to ALL Vocalists in Grades 9-12

Wednesday, November 18, 2026 | DMS 214

Registration: First time slot begins at 5 p.m. (Students are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their audition time to allow for registration.)

Auditions: 5:30-8 p.m.

Callbacks: 8-9 p.m. (While not every student will be called back, please make yourself available if you are called from 8-9 p.m.)

For OCSA’s 40th Anniversary Gala, we are looking for epic performances that fill the room! This show will incorporate multiple musical genres, so audition with your favorite pop/rock anthem, high-energy big band swing, Postmodern Jukebox-type adaptation, or showstopper from any era.

We ask you to “go big or go home” with this audition! This is not the time for low-key acoustic vibes or mellow singer-songwriter tunes. Please prepare 32 bars of a song that showcases your vocal style and range, along with your dynamic stage presence!

Students are required to provide their own accompaniment track. No CDs or streaming of a YouTube video will be allowed. An accompanist will NOT be provided, and self-accompanying is not recommended for this audition.

Please plan on arriving 15 minutes early to your audition time slot to allow time for registration and come dressed to impress! Be sure to bring a printed copy of the completed audition form (linked below), a headshot or recent school photo, and your resume (if you have one).

MANDATORY VOCAL ORIENTATION: Vocalists who are selected to participate in Gala 2027 will be expected to attend a Vocal Orientation on Tuesday, January 5, 2027 from 2:45-4:45 p.m. in the Center for the Arts, Room C200.

Dance Auditions

Open to ALL Jazz/Contemporary Dancers in Grades 9-12

Wednesday, November 18, 2026 | DMS 215

Registration: 5 p.m.

Auditions: 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Callbacks: There will be no callbacks for dancers!

We are looking for featured and ensemble dancers from all conservatories.

(The combination will be taught during the audition)

Please plan to arrive at 5 p.m. to allow time for registration, and come dressed to dance! Please bring a printed copy of the completed audition form (linked below), a headshot or recent school photo, and your resume (if you have one).

MANDATORY DANCER ORIENTATION: Dancers who are selected to participate in Gala 2027 will be expected to attend a Dancer Orientation on Thursday, January 7, 2027 from 2:45-5 p.m. in DMS 213.

Open to ALL Students in Grades 9-12

We are looking for masters of conversation who are confident, outgoing, witty, and personable.

Please come dressed to impress! Be sure to bring a printed copy of the completed audition form (linked below), a headshot or recent school photo, and your resume (if you have one).

The Gala Greeter Orientation will take place in March 2027. The specific date will be sent out by OCSA’s Special Events Team. Stay tuned!

SPECIAL NOTE FOR BIG FISH CAST MEMBERS

Are you currently cast in the All-School Musical, Big Fish, and are also interested in auditioning for Gala 2027? We have special audition times reserved just for you!

Gala auditions for Big Fish cast members will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2026 at the times listed below:

Dance Audition: 5-5:30 p.m.

Greeter Audition: 5:10-5:30 p.m.

Vocal Audition: 5:15-5:45 p.m.

Please DO NOT sign up through the SignUp Genius links above. Instead, please email jacob.piattoni@ocsarts.net to let him know that you are a member of the Big Fish cast and would like to audition for Gala 2027. Your email will serve as your audition sign-up.

You will still need to complete the corresponding audition form above before your audition.

We want to make sure our Big Fish cast members have the opportunity to audition for Gala while balancing the rehearsal and performance schedule of the musical.
