Rebecca Yang, President of the Read to Respond Club, led multiple students in a volunteer event at Mary’s Kitchen, a local food kitchen


Rebecca Yang (CW, ‘27), President of the Read to Respond Club, led multiple students in a volunteer event at Mary’s Kitchen, a local food kitchen. This service event was inspired by the short story “Those Who Walk Away from Omelas” by Ursula K. Le Guin, which highlights children’s hunger. In addition to discussing the story, club members helped organize shelves, sort produce, and store items at Mary’s Kitchen.
