Gary Humphreys is a retired middle school, high school, and college educator. Mr. Humphreys spent more than 35 years in teaching, coaching, and administration. He coached college tennis, surf, football, track and field, volleyball, and softball and also served as District Athletic Director.

Mr. Humphreys earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from California State University, Long Beach and has a teaching credential and master’s degree in physical education. He has served on the OCSA Board of Trustees since 2004 and is the President of the Anaheim Union High School District Foundation Board. Mr. Humphreys is an avid golf, tennis, and racquetball player. Mr. Humphreys raised his family and has lived in Santa Ana for more than 36 years, where he currently resides with his wife, Julie.

Jessica Herthel

Jessica Herthel is the proud parent of three OCSA students, the first of whom graduated in June 2023. After attending Princeton and Harvard Law School, Ms. Herthel worked as an employment law attorney at the Proskauer Rose LLP offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Boca Raton. She then went on to serve as an education consultant for Broward County Public Schools in Florida before taking on the role of Education Director at the Stonewall National Museum and Archives.

Since relocating back to California with her family in 2015, Ms. Herthel helped launch the first PFLAG support group chapter in Newport Beach, and she continues to present trainings nationwide on the topic of safe schools and about her children’s book, I Am Jazz. Ms. Herthel is currently an attorney at A Center for Children & Family Law.

Vincent “Vince” Foley, Jr. has been a resident of Orange County since 2002 when he, his wife, Linda, and their two-year-old daughter, Bridget, moved to Irvine. A few months later, they celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Meredith. Both Bridget and Meredith attended OCSA and graduated from the Commercial Dance Conservatory.

Mr. Foley is a real estate industry veteran and has worked in the title and escrow services segment of the industry since 1995. He previously served on OCSA’s President Circle and on OCSA’s Foundation Board of Directors, where he was Chair from 2019 to 2022. A graduate of University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science, Mr. Foley is active in volunteering; enjoys yoga, golf, pickleball, and playing guitar; and is an avid reader.

Natalie Odebunmi

Natalie Odebunmi has dedicated more than 25 years to public education, leading with a commitment to equity, innovation, and student success. She currently serves as a principal in the Capistrano Unified School District, where she drives instructional improvement, nurtures a positive and inclusive school culture, and builds strong partnerships with families and the community.

Mrs. Odebunmi also partners with her facility dog, Alana, through Canine Companions to promote a supportive and welcoming school environment. Her experience includes serving as assistant principal, certificated intervention specialist, and classroom teacher, as well as contributing to district initiatives in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), curriculum development, and professional learning communities. Beyond her district, she has been active on multiple PTA committees and served as a Yorba Linda Library Commissioner. Mrs. Odebunmi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and two Master of Education degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Administration & Supervision. She is the proud parent of two OCSA alumni (ACT, ‘21 and IA, ‘22).

Paul Satkin

Paul Satkin is a native Californian who has lived most of his life in Santa Ana, which is where he currently resides. Mr. Satkin attended Orange County public schools and received his bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton. He then earned an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Mr. Satkin is married with two children who both attended Santa Ana public schools and both graduated from OCSA’s Creative Writing Conservatory. Mr. Satkin has worked at a variety of companies, both large and small, private and public, in financial, IT, and operations management positions. He held a key management role for 17 years in a family-owned plumbing import and distribution company and was instrumental in orchestrating the sale of the company in 2016. Since then, he has consulted for a variety of businesses and charities and has tutored for several organizations, including the Illumination Foundation, The Wooden Floor, and Step Up Tutoring (LAUSD). Mr. Satkin has always loved OCSA and is very proud of the incredible, talented human beings it helps mold. OCSA played a significant role in his children’s lives, so he has remained on the Board for more than 15 years to assist the school in doing its great work.
