By now, you have learned about OCSA’s rigorous academic program, pre-professional arts conservatories, and unique school culture. You are ready to apply!

Before getting started, please make sure that you thoroughly understand the admissions requirements and have gathered all of the necessary materials. You will complete your application online and should be prepared to upload all required materials along with your application. Be sure to follow these step-by-step instructions.

Prospective students and parents are encouraged to learn more about OCSA by attending one of our Preview Days, which are typically scheduled on a Saturday in October, November, and December.

Preview Days for the 2019-2020 school year have now ended. Preview Day dates for the 2020-2021 school year are coming soon.

Applications for the 2020-2021 school year will be available in mid-October.  Families with multiple students applying must use an individual, unique email account for each applicant.  When creating your account, please be sure to enter the student applicant's first and last name.  When entering your email address however, please use a parent email address

January 3, 2020 is the deadline for applying for the 2020-2021 school year 

Although we will continue to accept applications after January 3rd, interview/auditions will only be scheduled if there is a conservatory need for additional applicants.

Generally all audition space is filled by early January so please consider submitting your application as soon as you are able.    Click here for more information.

Academic Review Process

Academic Review Process

Orange County School of the Arts provides a rigorous dual academic / arts program.  It is recommended that applicants interested in applying maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in 4 of the 5 core academic subjects. Additionally, applicants applying to grades 10th - 12th must be on track to graduate. For more information, please review OCSA's academic requirements.

Audition Scheduling

Applicants with a complete application submission will be scheduled to attend the first available interview/audition date, or their first-round audition materials (video or portfolio) will be sent to conservatory faculty for review. Interview/Audition information will be sent via email to the primary email account associated with the application.  Please use a parent's email address when setting up your applicant account.  

All auditions for the upcoming school year will be conducted in January and February. Interview/Audition dates are limited. Generally, all audition space is full by early January and auditions conclude at the end of February. Opportunities to audition in late spring and summer are rare and only scheduled if space is available.

Once an audition is scheduled, there can be no changes to the scheduled date or time.
