In addition to the many conservatory performances and showcases throughout the school year, Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) hosts special events and exciting fundraisers that bring in members of the OCSA family and of the greater Orange County community. These are the special annual events meticulously prepared by our students, alumni, and staff that you won’t want to miss!
Season Premiere
This year’s Season Premiere performance will kick off the 2024-2025 school year with an elegant evening by the bay on Saturday, Sept. 14. The waterfront event will feature incredible student vocalists, dancers, and instrumentalists from OCSA. Guests will enjoy a show-stopping production of contemporary country tunes, paired with a sophisticated cocktail reception, multi-course dinner, and dynamic live auction, all framed by the sparkling Californian sunset. South Coast Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting
The South Coast Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting is an annual OCSA tradition that features fun and exciting holiday-themed performances. This cheery and festive show features gingerbread characters, Santa, reindeer and more. The event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21 at South Coast Plaza’s Town Center Park. This event is free to attend, but be sure to get there early for a great spot!
OCSA Connects Community Arts Festival
The OCSA Connects Community Arts Festival is a FREE arts festival hosted on the campus of OCSA in the heart of Santa Ana, serving children ages 5-11 and their families from local and regional communities. Attendees will have a chance to engage in arts play areas and experiences, while enjoying live performances by OCSA’s talented students. This all-day festival is designed for the whole family and offers accessibility for children of all abilities. The festival will take place Saturday, Jan. 11. Mark your calendars!
Faculty Follies
For the first time since 2015, OCSA faculty and staff will take the stage for Faculty Follies! Ever wanted to see OCSA staff and faculty show off their talents? Your math teacher may belt out some showtunes while your language teacher plays an instrument. Who knows… maybe Mr. Ciecek will even show off his musical theatre skills! You won’t know unless you join us in early 2025!
Gala 2025
The annual Gala is OCSA’s largest, most prestigious fundraiser of the year! The OCSA Foundation hosts the annual themed gala, which features spectacular student performances, incredible virtual and live auctions, and a three-course gourmet dinner. All proceeds from the event contribute toward the $10 million needed annually to continue providing the school’s donation-dependent arts programs. Gala 2025 will take place Saturday, March 29.
Season Finale
Season Finale is a dynamic culminating event featuring a showcase of spectacular presentations from the talented students in each of the school’s 17 conservatory programs. Students will display work and perform excerpts from their best shows of the 2024-2025 school year. Season Finale 2025 will take place Saturday, May 24.
