About the Gala

Each year, the OCSA Foundation hosts a themed Gala, featuring a spectacular student performance, incredible silent and live auctions, and a gourmet dinner. Gala is OCSA’s largest, most prestigious fundraiser of the year. All proceeds from the event contribute toward the $13 million needed annually to continue providing our tuition-free, donation-dependent arts programs. Please consider joining us for, or helping to underwrite, one of the most entertaining and unforgettable evenings of the year.

Gala 2022: Night of a Million Dreams

Under the leadership of Gala 2022 Honorary Chairs Drs. Sherry and Ralph Opacic, we invite you to join us as our talented student artists and esteemed alumni present this year’s special anniversary Gala–a magical, musical celebration of OCSA’s journey over the past 35 years! As soon as guests arrive, they will be transported into a dream, complete with ethereal clouds and dazzling student performances. Once the clouds break and the sun sets into darkness, the reception will begin within the grand hallways of the hotel, amidst a sea of illuminating stars. Guests will be invited to bid on one-of-kind items through an enchanting Virtual Auction while enjoying dreamy signature cocktails and scrumptious hors d'oeuvres. The celestial celebration will continue as guests transition into a twinkling ballroom transformed by the rich colors of the midnight sky. In honor of OCSA’s 35th anniversary, our event will pull out all the stops to create an electric production incorporating throwbacks to some of the best Galas of years past. Featuring current students from a variety of conservatories performing alongside prestigious alumni in a mix of rock, classical, jazz, Broadway, contemporary pop, and more, this festive show will tug at your heartstrings one minute and have you dancing out of your seat the next!

The OCSA Gala is well known for its impressive Silent and Live Auction! This year’s Silent Auction will be VIRTUAL so everyone is encouraged to participate! 

To donate an auction item, please fill out the form and email it to Senior Director of Special Events Jamie Schofield at jamie.schofield@ocsarts.net

Each year, we ask for the community’s help to secure donations of the following items (valued at $150 or more):

Help support the talented student performers at OCSA’s annual Gala through a tax-deductible cash donation of $100 or more!  Your contribution will help provide our bright and talented young artists with a once-in-a-lifetime performance opportunity.
