Ms. Paige Oden holds a Master of Fine Arts in painting and sculpture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. She has studied in Florence, Italy; Washington D.C.; San Francisco; and Southern California under the guidance of artists Stephen De Staebler, Stephen Werlick, and John Lincoln.

In addition to her 25 years of dedication to the development of the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Visual Arts Conservatory, Ms. Oden exhibits and sells her paintings through various galleries in California and at the Laguna Beach Festival of the Arts. She also volunteers in various art-related programs throughout the Orange County community and has created an OCSA Visual Arts Leadership program that guides her students into volunteering and supporting local community programs. She has dedicated her career as a visual arts director and instructor by creating and developing a powerful and supportive fine arts curriculum, allowing young fine artists of all levels to excel through carefully aligned and tiered studio classes and lecture education.

Mr. Randy Au earned a bachelor’s degree in studio fine art at California State University, Fullerton, studying with Jerry Rothman and John Stokesbury. Mr. Au also studied at Biola University with Grant Logan and the University of California, Irvine with Gifford Myers. He was a contributing member of the Santa Ana Artists' Village Taskforce in 1993, as well as the "Mayor's Art Strategic Plan" and the Santa Ana Council of Arts and Culture. He was an invited guest curator for the John Wayne Airport, where he organized Orange County Contemporary Clay (2007-2008), an exhibit of 28 ceramic artists.

Christine Choi

Ms. Christine Choi has been a staff member at OCSA since 2008 and currently teaches AP Art and Design, Ceramics, Visual Arts Exploration, Visual Arts 3D Design for grade 7, and Integrated Arts Art and Design for grade 9. Ms. Choi is an OCSA alumna (VA, '02) and has earned the Second Annual Michael Steven Olvera Jr. Memorial Scholarship award. After graduating from OCSA, she pursued her passion for the arts at Otis College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She won the Saul & Sally Fifer Bernstein/Friends of Joe Mugnaini Award during her senior graduation show. Ms. Choi also holds a Secondary Teaching Credential through California State University, Fullerton and a Career Technical Education Credential (CTE) from the Orange County Department of Education. Currently, Ms. Choi teaches CTE courses through OCDE for conservatory and elective teachers at OCSA and CSArts-SGV who are working towards a CTE credential.

Ms. Kathleen Fochtman-Gambs received her Master of Fine Arts from California State University, Long Beach in 3D media and metals and is a classically trained metalsmith inspired by all-things metal. She is drawn to objects that have histories and often recycles used and manufactured metal components, giving them new life forms.

Mr. Ian Paul Montelongo earned his bachelor’s degree in illustration from California State University, Long Beach. He teaches Watercolor in the Visual Arts Conservatory and is a working fine artist, showing at the Chemers Gallery in Tustin.

Ms. Cara Nilsen received her master’s degree in illustration from California State University, Fullerton. She also teaches in the academic elective program and the Digital Media Conservatory. Deeply dedicated to her own work outside of teaching, Ms. Nilsen digitally paints fantasy art pieces and works on Norse mythology.
