Serving the Local Community

Orange County School of the Arts serves the local community by offering accessible performance opportunities, as well as arts and academic classes, during non-school hours. These programs provide community members with little accessibility to the arts with an opportunity to explore enriching experiences that help remove boundaries, broaden horizons, and instill a lifelong passion for the arts.

Camp OCSA Fall 2019

Fridays, September 13th through November 22nd from 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm

No Classes Friday, November 1st

Camp OCSA is a 10-week, afterschool series of beginning level arts training workshops led by OCSA conservatory faculty and advanced OCSA Students and available free of charge to children, grades 4-6 attending schools in the Santa Ana Unified School District.

Camp OCSA provides a positive, nurturing environment for students with an interest in the arts and the desire to discover and develop their talents.

This program is designed to introduce young people with little or no experience in the art to the basic language, techniques, and skills in different art disciplines. Camp OCSA is tuition free and all necessary educational supplies and materials are provided for participating students. Classes are taught by OCSA conservatory faculty and students in a safe and nurturing environment. Each class culminates with an engaging presentation, performance or art exhibit for friends and family to enjoy.

Camp OCSA provides the unique opportunity to positively engage with the students involved in the program as well as the community as a whole.  By reinforcing the idea that exposure to different perspectives fosters creativity, Camp OCSA cultivates community relations and brings people together.
