Each year, the OCSA Foundation hosts a themed, black-tie Gala, featuring spectacular student performances. Gala is OCSA’s largest, most prestigious fundraiser of the year, raising more than $2 million for the school annually.

Vocalist Auditions

Interdepartmental Open Call for ALL 9th - 12th Grade Vocalists

Monday, October 21, 2019

Time: 5:00-9:00 p.m. 

Location: Annex Room 18

We are looking for featured and ensemble vocalists for Gala 2020. Please prepare 16 bars of country rock/pop material from artists such as Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Dan + Shay, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, etc. 
It is preferable that you either provide a track or accompany yourself. No CD’s or streaming a YouTube video for your track.

Please make sure you bring the following to your audition:

  1. A printed version of the completed, appropriate Gala application
  2. A headshot
  3. Your resume (if you have it)

*Please come dressed to impress.

*Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your time slot to account for the registration process!

Specialty Acts Auditions

Interdepartmental Open Call for ALL 7th - 12th Grade Specialty Acts - Advanced/Professional Level Acts ONLY!

Thursday, October 24, 2019

Time: 5:00-5:30 p.m.

Location: DMS 115

We will be considering unique country-inspired talents. Talents including rope artistry, advanced line dancing, clogging, country-themed magic tricks, diabolo juggling, etc. are all of interest. Be creative!! 

Please make sure you bring the following to your audition:

  1. A printed version of the completed, appropriate Gala application
  2.  A headshot
  3. Your resume (if you have it)

Time: 5:30-7:00 p.m.- Jazz/Contemporary Dancers (Combination will be taught)

Please make sure you bring the following to your audition:

Greeter Auditions

We are looking for masters of conversation who are confident, outgoing, witty and personable.
 
Please make sure you bring the following to your audition:

  3. Your resume (if you have it)

No Formal Band Auditions

If you would like to be considered for the Gala band, please email Band Leader, Calvin Anderson at calvin.anderson@ocsarts.net and note the instrument you play to make an appointment.
 
Please bring your instrument to your appointment and be prepared to demonstrate your level of proficiency.
