Orange County School of the Arts Statement of Non-Discrimination

(Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, § 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973)
 
The Orange County School of the Arts does not discriminate on the basis of disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic that is defined in the definition of hate crimes set forth in Section 422.55 of the Penal Code, including immigration status, or association with an individual who has any of the aforementioned characteristics.  OCSA also does not discriminate on the basis of ancestry, pregnancy or parental status, age, medical condition, fluency in English, parent income/education level, or any other basis prohibited by law.

The following individual is designated as the Coordinator for non-discrimination at the Orange County School of the Arts to handle complaints regarding discrimination, harassment, intimidation, bullying, issues related to Title IX compliance, and to answer inquiries regarding OCSA’s nondiscrimination policies:

Any student who feels that he/she has been subjected to discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying should immediately contact the Coordinator, or any other staff member. In addition, any student who observes any such incident should report the incident to the Coordinator, whether or not the victim files a complaint.
 
Any school employee who observes an incident of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying or to whom such an incident is reported shall report the incident to the Coordinator, whether or not the victim files a complaint.
