The Orange County School of the Arts is one of the premier public arts schools in the United States. As an accredited public charter school, OCSA is tuition free, donation dependent. The school receives money from the State of California to fund its top-ranking academic program, but relies on the generosity of parents, individual donors, the business community, and foundations to fund the five artistic schools of study.
The school must raise more than $8.5 million this year--approximately $4,300 per student--to continue offering a comprehensive arts program. OCSA is committed to admit all youth eligible for enrollment without consideration of their family's ability to make a contribution. Our Artist Scholar Sponsorship Program was created to provide financial assistance to qualified students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Approximately 25% of the school's 2,000 students are in need of financial assistance. Every dollar donated to the school benefits both arts and education and is an investment in the future of a talented young student. Please consider sponsoring one, or more, of these deserving students with a tax-deductible donation.
