UPDATE: The application process for the 2016-2017 school year is now closed. Applications for the 2017-2018 School year will be available in October 2016.
All applicants, regardless of the school / home-school they attend, must show a measure of progress in their course work in at least four core academic classes (Math, Science, English, Social Science, and / or World Language).
Applicants cannot apply to a grade level above the standard grade level for their age or apply to "skip" a grade level.
Prospective students applying to the Orange County School of the Arts must submit an application, including, their most recently completed semester or trimester report card and current, up-to-date progress report. It is recommended that interested applicants have a minimum academic G.P.A of 2.0 or better from a state authorized public school or accredited private institution or program.* High school applicants must show they are on track to graduate.
The academic G.P.A. is based on grades from a minimum of 4 of the following 5 core academic subjects:
- Social Science/History
- World Language
All applicant's final admission status will be contingent upon their final semester/trimester report card for the current school year. The final semester/trimester report card must be submitted by June 30 2017.
