Camp OCHSA
(A community outreach program open to Santa
Ana students at no cost)
Camp OCHSA is a positive,
nurturing, environment for young people with an
interest in the arts and the desire to discover and
develop their talents. The program, open only to
students in grades four through six residing in
Santa Ana or attending schools in Santa Ana, is a
free arts training workshop that offers classes in
dance, drama, vocal music and the visual arts to
beginning level students with an interest in the arts.
Camp OCHSA is designed to introduce young people in
Santa Ana with little or no experience in the arts to
the basic language, techniques and skills of one of
several arts disciplines. The program is offered
during one 12-week workshop session each year. Classes
are held on Tuesday evenings September - December from
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the OCHSA campus. No
audition is required and there is no cost to
participate in Camp OCHSA.
All classes are taught by OCHSA student volunteers
in grades ten through twelve under the advisement,
direction and supervision of OCHSA faculty.
